Welcome to Bar Mutiny

Don't let the scary name and pirate imagery fool you, we are a very welcoming and friendly place to catch your favorite bands while enjoying cold beverages under the moonlight. During the day enjoy the conversations after a hard days work, meet the locals and become the new locals. I, James Peery, have worked at this bar for almost half my life, and in the service industry for even longer. I have been recording and playing music for most of my life and have plenty of booking experience. I have made it my mission to see the venue go on for years to come. The Kraken is a name we came up with almost 20 years ago and figured with it being the 3rd change in ownership I would start with the fresh new name, "Bar Mutiny". Keeping that pirate theme and Kraken class, but with new ideas and many more epic nights to come! I plan on bringing back KrakenFest and creating new fests and fundraisers for the community featuring a wide variety artists. Some of you know me as the best bartender in the triangle- it's true I am a three time award winning bartender- I plan on sharing some of my own cocktails as new drink specials. We will now be stocking wine and cider by popular demand. Early on I will be doing a few fundraisers to help bring the bar back to life. I will be upgrading music gear and updating the beer selection while keeping the classics for the regulars. Some things will change, but a lot of the good things will remain the same. In the beginning we will be working on the building and updating some stuff. If anyone would want to donate towards that cause, cool, if not can't wait to see ya! CHEERS- James (Blix)
